Frequently Asked Questions
1. What do I get?
Answer: Each set of plans has three options. Depending on which option you pick you get either an evaluation copy or a full set of plans.
2. How much does it cost?
Answer: For every Vintage House Plan there are three choices.
Option a) The evaluation copy, comes with a 1st floor, a 1st and 2nd floor, or 1st 2nd and 3rd floor plans and a front elevation. The price of the evaluation copy will be deducted from your bill if you choose to purchase a full copy.
Option b), The Full Set, comes with all floor plans, elevations, a foundation or basement plan, sections and details.
Option c), Eight Full Sets. Eight full sets of the plan are shipped upon processing.
Each of these option prices are specified on the design’s page. Options a and b are available as electronic file transfers.
3. How long does it take?
Answer: Orders can take from 1 to 3 business days to process and ship. If you request the electronic file transfer, we will e-mail you the attached file upon completion of processing. If you choose to have modifications made, you will receive an estimated time frame with your quote.
4. What else might I need?
Architectural and Engineering Seals
In some states and cities, it is now required that you have a licensed Architect or Engineer review and “seal”, or officially approve prints before construction. Vintage House Plans stresses that it is important for you to contact your local building official prior to applying for a building permit, or actual start of construction to address this concern.
Zoning and Building Codes
Each of our plans was designed to meet or exceed local building codes when and where it was first built, however your plan may need to be modified to meet local requirements. You may also need to obtain permits and inspections from your local building officials.
5. Is there a warranty?
Answer: As designers, we have put much care and effort into the creation of these blueprints. However, since we are unable to provide on-site consultation, supervision, and control over the construction, as well as large differences in local building requirements, construction standard practices, weather, soil, seismic, and other conditions, we make no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, with respect to the content or use of the blueprints, including but not limited to any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Items, prices, terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
6. How do I order a house plan?

Fill out the Order Request Form, making sure to select the Plan Option you want and provide any additional information that we may need to satisfactorily complete your request.
